Geode cake
Wenn ein Trend Glitzer und Funkel versprüht, dann ist das eindeutig dieser. Die sogenannten Geode Cakes sind die momentanen Stars auf dem Torten-Laufsteg. Konditoren haben sich hier von Geoden, also mit funkelnden Kristallen gefüllten Gesteinshohlräumen, inspirieren lassen. Die Torten sind zwar nicht mit echten Diamanten gefüllt, die kleinen essbaren Kristalle aus handelsüblichem Haushaltszucker sehen aber mindestens genauso schön aus.
